Kwaw "Abodam" Kese denied bail again.
Kwaw Kese |
who recently released his new single "mr. Lover" is to spend more days in the Kumasi Central
Prison, until December 22,2014, as a High Court refused him bail, in connection with his
alleged smoking of indian hemp(marijuana) in public.
It was the third time the popular artiste was denied bail as the prosecution insisted that drug
offences were non bailable..
He was rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital last Thursday after he complained of stomach
upset, but was discharged after less than four hours.
Lawyers for the musician argued at the court presided over by Mr. Justice P.K.B Apenkwa
that since the substance was yet to proven to be marijuana, it was unlawful to still keep
him in prison custody.
But this was sharply rebutted by the prosecution who told the court that the results of the
substance were ready to be exhibited in court in December 22,2014.
The musician was first arraigned
before the court in November 24,2014, and remanded for two weeks
, to appear on December 8, 2014.
