The Award winning actress,'Say no to skin bleaching crusader',Dark and Lovely brand ambassador Television presenter and producer, today tweeted on her tweeter handle @Ama_K_Abebrese why she started the "I love my skin tone Say no to skin bleaching campaign".

Here is exactly what she posted on instagram "People wonder what motivated me to start #ilovemynaturalskintone #saynotoskinbleaching campaign. It's because of billboards like this mounted right next to a Girls secondary school in the centre of Accra. Just one of many encouraging Africans to whiten their skin. Its shocking that they are even allowed. Hopefully soon billboards like will soon be a thing of the past".
 
Its very obvious that messages on such billboards will have negative impacts on the on these girls.
I am beginning to understand the reason why dark to white skin transition is on a high rate in the country at the moment.
